EVER-EXPANDING CHARGING NETWORK
EV charging is now incredibly accessible with a network of nearly 100,000 public charging stations in the US. Worldwide, there's an estimated 8% annual increase in charging infrastructure, reaching even the most remote of destinations. Apps like Plugshare, ChargePoint, and EV Connect help riders conveniently locate Zero-compatible Level 2 chargers nearby. OFF-ROAD ROUTE PLANNING
Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) is the ultimate authority on building out motorcycle adventure maps. Zero has partnered with BDR to bring all of their epic journeys to electric motorcycle riders. In addition to retrofitting the existing digital catalogue of BDR routes with charging infrastructure information, BDR and Zero have begun to design their iconic routes by including the DSR/X as one of the bikes on each of their planning and mapping trips.
EFFORTLESS CONTROL
From the moment you encounter it, the Zero DSR/X instills confidence. With a remarkable 166 ft-lb of torque, it effortlessly conquers any terrain and does so with an upright riding position, high ground clearance, and smooth acceleration from Zero's latest Z-Force 75-10X direct drive motor. As the first electric motorcycle with Bosch's Offroad Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC), the Zero DSR/X ensures safety, control, and confidence in all traction conditions. It also offers enhanced features like faster charging, increased battery capacity, turn-by-turn navigation, and Parking Mode, enabling easy maneuvering and obstacle clearance. As the category-defining electric adventure motorcycle, the DSR/X also includes every available Cypher III+ feature as standard.
BOSCH MOTORCYCLE STABILITY CONTROL (MSC)
The DSR/X's on/offroad MSC supports riders by assisting in acceleration, braking, and cornering, regardless of terrain. By combining Bosch's MSC System with Zero's Cypher III+, the offroad MSC delivers dynamic acceleration, improved stability, and unrivaled control. This advanced technology ensures best-in-class ABS, cornering brake control, traction control, and drag torque control, maximizing rider safety and control.
BOSCH VEHICLE HOLD BRAKING
Vehicle Hold Braking engages by fully clamping either brake lever and releasing it, preventing the motorcycle from rolling when stopped while providing freedom for the rider to make adjustments on inclines or declines. When the throttle is engaged, brake pressure releases for a smooth start. Alternatively, Vehicle Hold Braking automatically cancels and deactivates after three minutes or when the kickstand is lowered.
SHOWA SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The new front and rear suspension offer a controlled, comfortable, and agile ride on the road, while excelling offroad. With 7.48 inches of travel and adjustable compression and rebound clickers on both front and rear, it provides ample suspension for off-road terrain. The fork spring preload uses a tool to adjust, but the rear shock allows hand-adjustable preload, enabling riders to customize the ride height based on load and make on-the-trail adjustments for optimal performance.

The new DSR/X offers a range of premium digital and physical accessories, making it the ultimate adventure motorcycle. With five standard ride modes, an additional offroad traction mode, and the ability to customize each through the Zero NextGen app, adaptability is effortless. RIDE MODES
The DSR/X offers a versatile range of preprogrammed ride modes: Standard, Eco, Rain, Sport, and Canyon, all accessible through Zero's dash interface and customizable via the NextGen app. Custom modes provide infinite options to suit individual riding styles or conditions. Bosch Offroad MSC can be applied to any mode, enhancing control in low-traction conditions. Each mode has unique performance profiles for top speed, torque, and both braking and neutral battery regeneration. CYPHER III+
The Zero Adventure experience revolves around the most advanced motorcycle operating system, Cypher III+. Alongside extensive customization options, the DSR/X boasts a suite of Cypher features for enhanced performance. Enjoy faster charging, increased battery capacity, on-dash turn-by-turn navigation, and Parking Mode, enabling slow reverse gear for conquering obstacles or maneuvering in tight spaces. Cypher is the architecture that supports these and potentially limitless possibilities though over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Z-FORCE 17.3 KWH BATTERY
The Z-FORCE 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery makes the DSR/X capable of 179 miles of city range. Riders can extend their range even more to nearly 21 kWh with the available Power Tank option (dealer install required). The battery’s industry-leading power and energy density combined with an aluminum heat-sink housing and thermal transfer interface ensure consistent cell cooling and maximum long-term powertrain performance along with no maintenance or upkeep.
RAPID CHARGE SYSTEM
Our scalable Rapid Charge System allows the DSR/X to be configured for different charging levels. The DSR/X is equipped with a 6.6 kW charger right off the showroom floor. An additional 6 kW charging module is available for purchase (dealer install required) that can achieve up to 12.6 kW. The DSR/X can also be charged anywhere you charge your cell phone through a 110V outlet overnight, in approximately 10 hours.
Z-FORCE 75-10X MOTOR
The DSR/X’s unique Z-Force 75-10X direct drive motor variant is specially tuned for the rigors of navigating rough terrain. Sharing some of the same architecture as the 75-10 but with completely different internal materials, this motor delivers 166 ft-lbs of torque and 100 hp of immediate power that effortlessly navigates any obstacle and reaches a top speed of 112 mph. All this along with Zero’s renowned internal permanent magnet, brushless architecture, and a passively air-cooled, compact design delivers class-leading performance and efficiency with virtually no maintenance required.
CHASSIS
With some unmistakable design continuity to some of Zero’s street motorcycles, the steel-trellis frame of the DSR/X is totally new. Updated to maximize its strength while shedding as much weight as possible, the frame is reinforced for the rigors of any terrain that is thrown its way. The powertrain is perfectly distributed, resulting in a weight-optimized/mass-centralized design. The DSR/X's componentry is also situated differently to optimize for adventure by providing a category-leading 9.7” of ground clearance. Paired with a coaxial power-pivot swingarm which has also been reinforced to handle greater loads under harsher conditions, the architecture of the bike and Showa’s adventure suspension delivers a nimble and controlled riding experience.
LINKED BRAKING
The DSR/X is Zero's first model featuring a linked braking system. Controlled by the integrated Bosch Advanced Stability Control System, it activates instantly upon sensing a loss of traction or any slippage. The system immediately applies the right amount of braking to the J.Juan front and rear brakes simultaneously, providing added control when climbing or descending steep, loose terrain.
SEE CLEARLY
Customize your dash or simply let the industry’s gold standard in auto-contrasting light sensing do all the work for you. Data fields abound when you choose the bike info you want to focus on, clearly legible on the full-color 5” TFT display. Multi-mode navigation enables on-the-fly ride mode switching, cruise-control, heated grip control, and much more.
DIALED SUSPENSION
The DSR/X delivers a smooth ride fit for any terrain or load with enhanced suspension for your ADV outings. A 47-mm Showa fork offers 7.4 inches of travel and full adjustability. Also, the convenient dial for hand-adjusting preload on the new Showa shock also offers the perfect accommodation for a pillion rider or fully-loaded optional TRAX ADV cases.
RUBBER SIDE DOWN
The DSR/X can navigate virtually any obstacle in its way thanks to its incredibly light and durable spoked wheels, 19” up front and 17” in the rear. These come wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires for uniformly excellent performance on all surface types. However, the indomitable Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires are available for those riders who want to upgrade their DSR/X into a fully trail-rated off-road monster.
CARBON STRONG
Zero collaborated with Gates Carbon Belt Drive, the leader in belt-driven powersport technologies, to develop an entirely new belt drive system for the DSR/X. Wider, stronger, and more capable than ever, the Gates Carbon Drive Moto X9™ belt is paired to the Mudport Wheel Sprocket with larger, ported sprockets to reduce bend angles and eliminate debris from the drive train. This combination results in the most durable drive system that is found on any electric motorcycle.
